LucidChat is a small, community-run IRC server. It's not a Discord, it's not a Slack, and it definitely isn't a mobile app. It's Internet Relay Chat — the same protocol your older sibling used at 2am in 1997 to argue about Star Trek.
Pure ASCII, no emoji reactions, no threads. If you have something to say, type it. If not, lurk in peace.
Messages appear in the order they were sent. That's it. That's the algorithm.
HexChat, mIRC, irssi, WeeChat, KiwiIRC — anything that speaks RFC 1459 will do.
